Physics Busking at the Milk Market

In November 2024, the University of Limerick (UL) took part in Physics Busking, a national initiative designed to foster awareness and engagement with science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) across Ireland. Held at the vibrant Milk Market, this event featured a series of interactive experiments and demonstrations carefully chosen to captivate the public with the excitement of physics. A standout feature of the day was the SOPHia project, a pioneering effort to spark curiosity and make science more accessible. Dedicated facilitators, all volunteers, showcased the wonders of physics in thrilling and engaging ways, proving just how cool and dynamic the world of science can be. The event was a true celebration of STEM, with a special focus on inspiring future generations.
